Allotments

Trowse Newton allotments are on two sites in the village: the DELL, the larger, consists of 60 units lying on the hill above and facing White Horse Lane; and Block Hill which lies behind Devon Way and beneath the A47 road and consists of 20 units.

The purpose of these allotments is to allow residents of the village to exercise their talents in growing fruits, vegetables and flowers for their own use and amusement.

The Parish Council has responsibility for maintaining public areas and ensuring the sites are being used as intended and maintained in reasonable order by tenants.

If you are interested in having an allotment, please contact the Parish Clerk who will advise you on the process. You might also want to have a look at the Allotment Handbook below which will give you an idea of what sort of commitment an allotment is.
