Sadly, this is the time of year when the village can be significantly affected by flooding, especially around the area of the Common, White Horse Lane and Newton Close. The Parish Council will do everything it can to assist residents who may be under threat from flood water. They have recently purchased nearly 500 ‘Floodsax’ that can be made available to residents to help protect their properties. These Floodsax are a product that can be carried and transported easily, and are a modern alternative to the standard sandbags.
